4 months...

My baby is a little over 4 months already! Here were his 4 month measurements: 14lbs 2 ounces (40%) and 24 inches (30%). Also, it turns out my little guy has a big head, seeing as how it is in the 75th percentile compared to the rest of him being in the 30-40%. I'm not worried, though, I have a friend that said her daughter did the same thing but eventually grew in to it.

He took his shots like a champ and barely whimpered. However, he was fussy for a few days following. This happened last time as well. The doctor did change his reflux medicine and we tried out a little cereal that week too, so his fussiness could have been contributed to any one of these.

We fed him the cereal with a spoon and he ate it pretty well. We stopped it though because the night he ate the most cereal he slept the least. Since sleeping is on the top of our goal list right now we might wait until 6 months to reintroduce. The last week he has slept 7 to 8 hours quite a few times. We just need to learn to go to bed earlier so that we too can take advantage of this.

He is so fun now. Of course we think everything he does is absolutely adorable. In the morning he does this stretch and he gives this sleepy-i'm waking up-smile. While we are changing him he reaches for us. He loves his daddy and his eyes follow him around all the time. When he wakes up he hardly ever cries he just looks around and starts babbling. He's best if he can get a couple hour nap in every day. He likes to play with toys more and more. Every once in a while a random noise we make will make him giggle and we will do it over and over again to get him repeat it.

He hit another milestone again yesterday. He rolled from his back to his tummy. As you may remember, he rolled from his tummy to his back at 4 weeks. When he first discovered that he did it several time for a few days then it tapered off to just every once in a while to get our attention. Yesterday mom said it was like he woke up with the intent to roll over. Erick said in the bed that morning he was stretching and arching like he was trying to do it and then while we were at work Memaw and Nana got him to do it. He repeated it for Erick and me later.
